I had about 2 days (only brown discharge and that was minimal) and I took a Home Pregnancy Test the day after its inception and it was negative.

I had some strange brown in CM (12 and 13 of the FA was due 14) and I was negative in 15, 17 (pm) and 18. AF has not yet appeared and I have the intention retest Christmas morning:) That is, if I can wait that long!

hCG Levels in Pregnancy

HCG levels in early pregnancy can be detected approximately 11 days after conception by a blood test, and about 12-14 days after conception by a Home Pregnancy Test, or urine test. This area of the ovary is called the corpus luteum, and it produces progestin for about 12-14 days. If the egg is fertilized and implants in the uterus, the developing embryo starts to produce the hormone HCG which stimulates the corpus luteum to continue to produce progesterone.
